A British tourist visiting Turkey has drawn attention online with a unique “safety test.” Wanting to find out just how safe the country is, the tourist placed several valuable items—including a wallet full of cash, a camera, and sunglasses—on a café table before walking away.
He left the location for an entire hour, curious to see whether anything would happen. When he returned, every single item was exactly where he left it.
I will second that. I’ve seen iPhones left on walls at markets and still there when going home. I left my phone on the bench in the center of Alanya. Found out when I got home. 2 minutes later the wifes phone rang. I have it on the back of my phone. The girls in the shop had seen it .
They even made me put the pin in before allowing me to take it. Most are more than honest.
