How to Recharge (add money to) an HGS Account

TT Branches and Agencies
You can visit any PTT (Turkish Post) branch or authorized agency to add credit to your HGS account.
Payments can be made in cash or by card.

Bank Branches and Online Banking
Many Turkish banks allow you to recharge your HGS account through their branches or online banking platforms.
You can link your HGS account to your bank account for easy top-ups.

Automatic Payment Order
You can set up an automatic payment order (direct debit) from your credit card or bank account.
This ensures your HGS account is automatically recharged when the balance is low, preventing fines or interruptions.

Mobile Apps and Websites
Some banks and the PTT have mobile apps or websites where you can recharge your HGS account online.
You need your HGS account number or vehicle plate number to complete the transaction.
Minimum Balance Requirement
A minimum Turkish Lira (TL) deposit is usually required to activate and maintain your HGS account for toll payments.

Notifications
If your HGS balance is insufficient, you will typically receive notifications via SMS or email, depending on your registration details.

Note: Drivers with Foreign Licence Plates using Tollways
You must register for an HGS pass before using any tollways and your account must have sufficient credit for your journey.
Vehicles with foreign licence plates will not be allowed to leave the country if they have unpaid toll fines.
You need to check if they have any unpaid toll fees, violations, fines etc from the Violation Query section on the KGM system and pay any outstanding debts before arriving at customs.
