For Family Residence Applications the Birth certificates for children under 18 years old must be apostilled
In order to obtain Long-Term Residency the following requirements must be met:

- You must not have received social assistance in the preceding three years
- You must have sufficient and regular income to maintain and where applicable your family

- You must also provide a Criminal Record Check from your home country, it must be apostilled then it must be translated and notorised in Turkey. As of February 2025 the Criminal Record Check issued from your home country ‘may’ no longer be required. In cases where this is applicable the Criminal Record Check is available, for free, from the local Turkish court office. We recommend you check with your local GOC office as to what is required regarding the Criminal Record Check
