Obtaining an HGS (High-Speed Toll System) pass

Where to Get It
You can purchase an HGS pass at PTT (Turkish Post) branches and the PTT Head Office.
They are also available at some authorized sales points such as certain gas stations, highway toll booths, and vehicle registration offices.

Required Documents
Your vehicle registration certificate.
Your passport or identification document.

Cost
There is a small enrollment fee, typically only a few Turkish Lira (TL), to register for the HGS system and receive the HGS pass.

Payment Setup
You can link the HGS pass to a prepaid account.
Optionally, you can set up an automatic payment order using a credit card to ensure your toll fees are always covered.

Usage
Once you have the HGS sticker or card, affix it to your vehicle as instructed.
When you pass through toll gates, the system automatically deducts the toll fee from your prepaid balance.

Important
If you use the motorway without an HGS pass, you may be fined.
You have a grace period of 7 days to purchase and pay for tolls if you pass a toll gate without an HGS pass, but after that, fines increase significantly.

Note: Drivers with Foreign Licence Plates using Tollways
You must register for an HGS pass before using any tollways and your account must have sufficient credit for your journey.
Vehicles with foreign licence plates will not be allowed to leave the country if they have unpaid toll fines.
You need to check if they have any unpaid toll fees, violations, fines etc from the Violation Query section on the KGM system and pay any outstanding debts before arriving at customs.
